On the way out, 2020

The times are changing. I feel sorrow for what was once mainstream, now slowly disappearing and forgotten . The film "A Punch- Drunk Boxer", which depicts the shadows cast by the 'the world of disappearing beings', gives comfort and encouragement to I(the protagonist) , who is behind the times, saying 'you are never useless'. At the end of the film, the protagonist focuses on whether his dream is still shining and alive rather than the result of the game. I made the pattern of bruised and distorted eyes, containing the message that disappearing from the stage doesn't mean the eternal death of the existing one.



시대는 변하고 있다. 이제는 주류라고 볼 수 없는 서서히 사라지고 잊히는 것들에 대한 쓸쓸한 마음이 들기도 한다. ‘사라져가는 존재들의 세계’가 드리우는 그림자를 짙게 그려낸 영화 <판소리 복서>는 시대에 뒤처져가는 나라는 존재가 무용한 것이 아니라는 위로와 격려가 되었다. 영화의 마지막에 이르러 주인공의 승부 결과보다는 그의 꿈은 빛을 지켰는지에 초점을 두게 된다. 사라진다고 해서 죽는 건 아니라고 항변하는 듯한 모습을 멍투성이가 되어 일그러진 주인공의 눈으로 표현하였다.


时代在变化。曾经的主流，现在慢慢消失和遗忘，让我感到悲哀。电影《盘索里拳击手》描绘了“消失的生命世界”的阴影，安慰并鼓励落后的我(主人公)，说:“你从来都不是没用的。”在影片的结尾，主人公关注的不是比赛的结果，而是他的梦想是否还在闪耀，是否还活着。我做了一个扭曲的眼睛的图案，包含着一个信息，从舞台上消失并不意味着永远的死亡。
