Ironic pink, 2021

The pink-colored glacier image was something I used to use as a reference easily without awareness. However, I was shocked when I read an article that explained that these beautiful glaciers have turned pink due to algae, which causes the glaciers to melt more quickly. We often take precious things for granted once we get used to them, including the environment. We have to be alert to make sure we don’t take such things for granted.



분홍빛으로 물든 빙하 이미지는 내가 자각없이 쉽게 레퍼런스로 쓰곤 했던 것이었다. 하지만 이런 아름다운 빙하들이 조류에 의해 변색된 것이고 빙하가 빨리 녹도록 한다는 기사를 접하고 충격을 받았다. 우리는 쉽게 소중한 것들에 무뎌지곤 한다. 환경도 그런 것들 중 하나라고 생각한다. 우리는 당연하다고 느껴지는 것들에 대한 경각심을 언제나 가져야 할 것이다.


被粉红色染上的冰川的形象是我经常不自觉借鉴使用的一个.但了解到这些美丽的冰川是被鸟类变色且会促进冰川融化的消息后感到非常的震惊.我们经常会被珍贵的东西打败.我认为环境也是其中之一.我们需要时刻保持着对被认为理所当然的事物的警惕心。
