Material pleasure is not
the best value of life but it is always essential condition.
Although not everyone wants to have overflowing richness, it cannot be denied that they all hope to be rich to some extent.
There are lots of themes related to'wealth' in the culture of both the East and the West, but among them, I chose Chinese mahjong related to gambling and poker of the East and the West as the main theme. The wish for the victory was depicted as well. By using bright colors contrasting with heavy themes, I tried to describe how abstract feeling of pleasure is as well as the how light that pleasure is.
물질적 쾌락은 인생 최고의 가치가 아니지만, 그를 위한 필요조건이다.
모든 사람들이 넘칠 만큼은 아니어도, 어느 정도의 부를 바라고 있음을 부정할 수 없다.
동서양의 문화 속에서 ‘부’와 관련된 오브제들이 굉장히 많지만 그 중에서 도박과 관련된 중국의 마작, 동서양의 포커를 중심 오브제로 선택했고, 승리를 기원하는 마음을 표현하고자 하였다. 무거운 주제와는 아이러니하게 밝은 컬러를 이용하여 쾌락의 추상적인 느낌과 그 쾌락의 가벼움까지 표현하고자 하였다.
物质上的快乐并不是人生中最有价值的，但却是必要条件。虽然不是人人都想拥有丰富的财富，但也不能否认人人都想拥有一定程度上的财富。在东西方的文化中与‘财富’相关的客体很多，但我选择了与赌博有关的中国麻将与西方扑克牌，作为中心客体来表达对胜利的愿望。与沉重的主题相反，用明亮的颜色来表现快乐的抽象感觉与轻松感。
