Recollection, 2021

Reminisce is a recollection of past events. As you recall, memories become distorted but otherwise, multiple memories can form new ideas. In this comprehensive process, one can find herself.
This work was inspired from the nine motives chosen based on the spaces I have resided in. With different lines weaving multiple forms and shapes, those memories eventually become myself .



회상은 기억된 것을 다시 떠올려 생각해 내는 일이다. 회상하면서 기존의 기억들이 왜곡될 수도 있고 다른 한편으로는 여러 기억들이 혼성되며 새로운 생각들을 끌어내 줄 때도 있다. 이 모든 과정 내가 살아온 공간들에서 비롯된 아홉 개의 모티브를 기반으로 회상을 시작한 작업이다. 각 선의 연결이 다른 기억을 떠올리고 얽히며 새로운 형태를 만들어 내듯이 다양한 기억들이 지금의 내가 되었다.


回想是重新想起过去的事情.回想的时候,原有记忆会扭曲,另一方面会与其他许多记忆混合起来产生新的想法.通过这一整个过程,有时对建立自己的身份是有一定的帮助.以便如此,将以回想为主题生活的各国建筑物混合的共9个主题为基础,就像每一条线的连接都会想起不同记忆,相互交织在一起的话会呈现出新的形态一样,各种记忆交织在一起也会引起新的解释,表新出了确立为现在的我的工作。
