My Childhood, 2020

By weaving threads of various colors, I tried to express that the memories that I felt everything anew with new daily experiences in my childhood and how I reminisce them now as a grown-up. This work, made by weaving threads of various textures and colors together, brings together memories of that time and present emotions. This connection of memories seems more solid by the coiling that passes over the work. I put my desire for the audiences to forget reality for a while and to feel like having gone back to their childhood at least in front of this work.



모든 것이 새로웠던 어린 시절, 매일 새롭게 경험하던 주변 사물의 감각에 대한 기억과 성인이 된 지금의 내가 느끼는 어린 시절의 추억과 감정을 색색의 실을 엮어서 표현했다. 다양한 질감과 색깔을 가진 실들을 함께 엮어서 만든 이 작품은 그때의 기억과 지금의 감정을 하나로 모아주고 있다. 작품 위를 지나는 코일링은 이 연결을 더욱 견고하게 한다. 이 작품 앞에서만큼은 관람자가 잠시 현실을 잊고 어린 시절로 돌아간 기분을 느끼기를 소망하는 마음을 담았다.


通过编织各种颜色的线，表达了童年时新的日常经历，以及成年后的童年记忆和感受。这幅作品，用不同纹理和颜色的线交织在一起，唤起了当时的记忆和情感。通过盘绕的工作，使这种记忆的联系似乎更牢固。看着这部作品，使观众忘记现实，仿佛回到小时候的心情。
