As a homebody,
I was honestly a bit happy to stay in.

Due to the sudden occurrence of a pandemic, the people of 2020 were forced to stay inside for self-quarantine and social distancing. As a homebody, I was honestly a bit happy to stay in. But as the situation continued and everything, including day-to-day work, had to be done at home, the place I considered a haven became very uncomfortable. It felt like a warm bubble bath that was about to end but simultaneously gave me a strange, uneven feeling as if the bubbles were rising to my ears and nose, absorbing me in. The two conflicting feelings were expressed through the contrast of soft but messy looking wool and hard acrylic plates.



갑작스러운 팬데믹으로, 2020년 전 세계인은 집에서 사회적 거리 두기/자가격리 기간을 갖게 되었다. 집에 있는 것을 무척 좋아하는 나는 남몰래 한편으로는 조금 기쁘기도 했다. 그러나 이 상태가 지속되어 점점 일과 작업 또한 집에서 병행하게 되면서 안식처로만 치부되던 집이라는 공간이 굉장히 불편해졌다. 이 모든 상황이 마치 곧 끝날 따뜻한 거품 목욕을 하면서도 그 거품들이 나의 코와 귀를 향해 상승하여 잠식될 것 같은 불안감과 이질감이 동시에 느껴졌고, 이것을 부드럽지만 정돈되어 보이지 않는 양모와 딱딱한 아크릴로 표현하고자 하였다.


由于疫情的关系,2020年的全世界都在各自的家里进行社交隔离。起初,我心里有点高兴,因为我喜欢呆在家里。然而,随着疫情的延长,作为庇护所的家成了工作的地方,渐渐失去了它原有的舒适。在温暖的泡浴中,我既感到焦虑,又有一种异质,仿佛肥皂泡会升到我的鼻子和耳朵,从而被侵蚀。所以我想用柔软的羊毛和丙烯酸来表达出这种不安和异质。
