I love thread, cloth, and sewing all the time. It always makes me feel excited to draw or make something with my hands. In a way, these badges, which look somewhat rough or delicate, are all made by hand-wrinkled and sewed. Whatever happens in life, I want to give myself a badge of each event with naming to encourage myself. For the hard times I've endured, I'd like to celebrate them with large and fancy ribbons. I made these badges as the artworks for myself who deserve being encouraged.



늘 바느질이 좋고 실과 천이 좋았다. 손으로 무언가를 그리고 만들 때는 한결같은 설렘이 있다. 투박하다면 투박하게 또 섬세하다면 섬세하게 만들어진 꽃과 같은 훈장들은 모두 손으로 주름을 잡아 바느질로 엮은 것들이다. 삶에서 일어나는 어떠한 일들에도 나는 훈장을 주어 이름을 붙이고, 스스로를 격려하기를 원한다. 힘들게 견뎌냈던 일들에는 더 크고 선명한 색의 리본을 달아 기념하고 싶다. 스스로를 진정으로 격려할 수 있게 된 나 자신에게 주는 훈장이 바로 이 작품이다.


我往往都是喜爱线、布和缝纫。每当我在画画或制作一些东西时，会有一种始终如一的兴奋。这些徽章都是手工褶皱和缝制而成，看起来有些粗糙或精致。我愿意为生活中所发生的任何事情授予徽章、取名并鼓励自己。我想对我所忍受的艰苦工作挂上更大、更鲜明的色彩蝴蝶结作为纪念。这部作品是给懂的鼓励自己的我的徽章。
