Usually, I prefer to show visual diversity by using various colors in my works.
I was inspired by Dancheong, where vivid colors are matched with monochrome, and aimed at applying various colors to the clothing line based on traditional things associated with Dancheong. This work is designed to create a traditional beauty by combining roof tiles spread widely from the upper part of the body and Dancheong patterns extending below the bottom of blended fabrics.
평소 작품에 다양한 색상을 사용하여 시각적으로 다채로움을 보여주는 것을 선호해왔다. 그로 인해 선명한 색상들이 단색으로 면을 맞붙이고 있는 단청에서 영감을 얻게 되었고 단청과 연관된 가옥이나 전통적인 것들에 기반한 의상 라인에 다양한 색을 입히는 것을 목표로 했다. 상체부분에서 넓게 펼쳐지는 기와와 하단의 혼방 천 밑으로 뻗어가는 단청 문양의 조화로 전통적인 미를 연출하고자 한 작품이다.
