I stand up again through the shield of faith, self-esteem, and courage inside me like Roly Poly, which is the title.
On my way to my dream, I captured bowling pins and bowling alley rails as objet to express my inner self, which makes me rise again even if a crisis comes. Glass bottles themselves are weak and easily broken, but glass bottles with protective membranes called coiling do not break even if they fall. In this artwork, I applied this part to my inner self. It shows that even though I feel like I'm going to collapse easily due to negative emotions such as anxiety, frustration, and depression, I stand up again through the shield of faith, self-esteem, and courage inside me like Roly Poly, which is the title.
꿈을 향해 가는 과정에서 시련, 힘듦, 위기가 찾아와도 다시 나를 일으키게 해주는 나의 내면의 모습을 볼링핀과 볼링장 레일을 오브제로 잡아 표현했다. 유리병은 그 자체만으론 약하고 쉽게 깨지는 속성을 가졌지만 코일링이라는 보호막이 생긴 유리병은 넘어져도 깨지지 않는다. 이 부분을 나의 내면과 대입을 시켜 나에게 힘듦, 위기, 시련이 찾아와 불안, 좌절, 우울 등의 부정적인 감정이 들어 쉽게 무너질 것 같아도 내 내면에 가지고 있는 믿음, 자존감, 용기라는 보호막을 통해 제목인 오뚜기처럼 다시 일어난다 라는 뜻을 담았다.
