The discarded bags were up-cycled, and modern, common materials were used to make contrast with the materials.
After
the Industrial Revolution, the British Empire was at the center of the colonial
era, where human values were disparaged in earnest. With the contrasting theme
of military uniform, the symbol of the time, and this war-induced deformity of
injury, pain, and discomfort, i express the suffering victims of the grim
future in my work. The discarded bags were up-cycled, and modern, common
materials were used to make contrast with the materials.
산업혁명 이후, 본격적으로 인간의 가치가 폄하되는 식민시대의 중심에는 ‘대영제국’이 있었다. 그 당시의 상징인 ‘군복’과 이러한 ‘전쟁으로 인한 기형적인 부상, 고통, 불편함’의 대조적인 주제를 가지고, 암울한 미래의 고통받는 피해자를 작품으로 표현하였다. 버려진 가방들을 업사이클링하고, 현대의 흔히 쓰이는 소재를 활용해 재료에서도 대조를 보이도록 했다.
