But it also seems hard to balance its body.

This is the third of self-portrait, Gazi Series. The character is talking to viewers. But it also seems hard to balance its body. I visualized the duplicity between desiring communication and keeping the strangers from coming into its own area.

 가지’라는 가상의 캐릭터를 만든 후 본인을 대입시켰다. 본 작품은 나 자신을 투영시킨 가지 시리즈 중 솔리드 작업에 해당한다. 화면 너머의 어딘가를 계속해서 응시하고 있는 캐릭터는 한쪽 손을 내밀면서 말을 거는 듯한 느낌을 준다. 하지만 캐릭터는 중심을 잡기도 힘든 위태로운 상태로 연출되어, 작가 본인의 외부와 소통하고자 하는 성향과 동시에 외부를 경계하고 불안감을 갖는 이중성을 하나의 스컬프쳐로 시각화한 작업이다.
