Mary Poppins, who is always proud, bright and cheerful, has a little bit of melancholy.
Even though she is an idol and nanny of children and even wanders through the clouds, a person full of love is also full of wounds.
Living in time of world war1 and also world war2, her wounds made different, more mature charm. Capturing this moment, I reinterpreted her image not only as the nanny, also as independent woman.
늘 당당하며 밝고 발랄한 메리 포핀스에게서 묻어나오는 약간의 멜랑콜리. 아이들의 우상이자 유모로서 살아가며 구름 속을 헤집고 다니는 그녀라도 사랑이 가득한 사람은 상처도 가득한 법이다.전쟁 전후라는 참혹한 시대를 보낸 그녀에게서 느껴진, 잠시 스쳐지나간 그녀의 또다른 매력을 가지고 ‘메리포핀스’라는 캐릭터의 이미지를 재해석해 보았다.
