As the old saying goes, every cloud has a silver lining -  it is just that one never notices it very easily.

Even when all seems lost, there is always a glimpse of hope. As the old saying goes, every cloud has a silver lining -  it is just that one never notices it very easily. This pattern design was intended to depict this very theme. The flowers and their petals have almost no value contrast with the background. Thereby their presence is barely noticeable at first glance. But as we fix our gaze upon the frame, the shape of the flowers will slowly start to step forward.

 어둠 속에서 절망적인 일들만 일어나는 건 아니다. 희망적인 일들도 일어나지만 절망적인 상황 속에서 우리가 대부분 그걸 눈치채지 못할 뿐이다. 이러한 주제로 진행된 패턴 작업은 어두운 배경과 비슷한 명도들로 표현된 꽃과 꽃잎들의 이미지로 이루어져있다. 이 작업의 주제처럼 처음엔 단지 어두운 조각들로 패턴이 눈에 들어올 수 있지만, 결국엔 꽃과 꽃잎의 형태로 이루어진 패턴을 확인할 수 있다.
