These days, sustainability is a hot topic, and I wanted to talk about 'rebirth' through the upcycling project.
Inspired by the combination of Renaissance and punk culture during the doubles, the song of the band 'KISS'" ROCK N ROLL ALL NITE" conjured up images of people in the Renaissance ballroom dancing and enjoying themselves more freely away from the traditional elegant and formal framework. This was expressed by capturing the car's waste sheet leather as a new leather jacket.
지속가능성이 화두가 되고 있는 요즘, 업사이클링 프로젝트를 통해 ‘재탄생’ 에 관한 이야기를 하고자 했다. 복식사 중 르네상스와 펑크 문화를 결합하여 밴드 ‘KISS’ 의 곡’ ROCK N ROLL ALL NITE’ 에서 영감을 받아, 르네상스 무도회 속 사람들이 기존의 고상하고 형식적이기만한 틀에서 벗어나 좀 더 자유롭게 춤추며 즐기는 모습을 떠올렸다. 이를 자동차의 폐시트 가죽이 새로운 가죽자켓으로 재탄생하는 모습으로 담아냄으로써 표현해보았다.
