In the past few years, the demand for “Mica” in the cosmetics industry has increased sharply. mica is the sparkling ingredient in cosmetics. 60% of the mica are mined and produced in India. To find mica, the children go deep into the mine and dig mica. It is because children can easily enter the narrow cave and reach their hands to the gaps. More than 10 children die in accidents each month while laboring for this illegal and dangerous job. Therefore, more and more cosmetic brands are willing to use artificial mica. To spread this fact to more people, I chose mica as the theme of my graduation work.


지난 몇 년간 화장품 업계에서는 ‘미카’의 수요가 급증했다. 화장품의 반짝이는 재료는 미카 이다. 미카 광산의 60%는 인도에서 생산된다. 미카를 발굴하기 위해 아이들은 광산으로 깊숙이 들어가 미카를 파낸다. 아이들이 좁은 동굴에 쉽게 들어가 틈새로 손을 뻗을 수 있기 때문이다. 이 불법적이고 위험한 작업에서 매달 10명 이상의 아이들이 사고로 죽는다. 따라서, 점점 더 많은 화장품 브랜드들이 인조 미카를 기꺼이 사용하고 있다. 이 사실을 더 많은 사람들에게 알리기 위해,  미카를 주제로 졸업 작품을 제작했다.
